Founded in 2003, TAAL DANCE SCHOOL & TROUPE has been shaping passionate dancers through quality training, cultural values, and artistic excellence. Led by Mrs. Tanusree Saha, our academy offers comprehensive dance education in classical, folk, creative, and contemporary styles, creating a vibrant space where students build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for dance.
Established in 2003 under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Tanusree Saha, TAAL DANCE SCHOOL & TROUPE is dedicated to preserving India's rich cultural heritage while creating an inspiring environment where students can discover their creativity, confidence, discipline, and artistic potential.
The academy provides structured training in Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Rabindra Nritya, Folk Dance, Creative Dance, Uday Shankar Style, Western Dance, and other forms of dance. With a strong emphasis on technique, rhythm, expression, discipline, fitness, and stage presentation, students are guided progressively according to their age, ability, and level of training.
Affiliated with Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad (SSSP), the academy also prepares students for recognised dance examinations and certifications. In addition to formal training, students receive opportunities to participate in stage shows, cultural festivals, competitions, and prestigious events.

Mrs. Tanusree Saha is an accomplished dance educator, choreographer, performer, and cultural mentor with over three decades of teaching experience in classical, creative, folk, and Western dance. Since establishing TAAL DANCE SCHOOL & TROUPE in 2003, she has been passionately dedicated to nurturing students through disciplined training, artistic excellence, confidence, creativity, and a deep appreciation of India's rich cultural heritage.
She holds a Master’s degree from Calcutta University and has earned several prestigious qualifications in dance, including Sangeet Bhushan and Sangeet Visharad from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, and Sangeet Bivakar from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad. She has also received advanced training in Creative Dance under the renowned Guru Mamata Shankar.
Her expertise encompasses a wide range of dance forms, including Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Rabindra Nritya, Folk Dance, Creative Dance, Uday Shankar Style, and Western Dance. Her teaching philosophy combines strong technical foundations with rhythm, expression, discipline, creativity, and stage confidence, enabling students to develop not only as dancers but also as confident and accomplished individuals.
Throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Saha has worked as a Dance Teacher in several reputed educational institutions across Delhi, Punjab, and West Bengal. Her teaching experience includes:
A particularly significant chapter in her professional journey was her association with SOS Children’s Villages of India, an internationally recognized non-governmental organization dedicated to the care, development, and well-being of children and young people. Mrs. Saha worked with SOS Children’s Villages for approximately 4–5 years, contributing her expertise as a dance educator and mentor. Her experience and contribution are supported by official certification from the organization.
During her tenure with SOS Children’s Villages in Kolkata, she played an important role in training and preparing students for various zonal, state, and national-level dance competitions. Her students achieved remarkable success, securing 1st Prizes at zonal, state, and national levels, reflecting her exceptional ability to identify talent, provide disciplined training, develop performance skills, and inspire young dancers to achieve excellence.
Her association with SOS Children’s Villages represents a rare and valuable part of her professional legacy, combining dance education with social development and the empowerment of children through art and cultural expression.
Through these teaching assignments, her work with SOS Children’s Villages, and her own academy, Mrs. Saha has trained generations of students and helped them develop their skills for stage performances, examinations, cultural programmes, competitions, and professional presentations. Her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to using dance not merely as an art form, but as a powerful medium for education, confidence-building, cultural awareness, discipline, and personal growth.
